Easter Presentation:  Life of a Roman Centurion,  portrayed by David Wiedenkeller, takes place Thursday,  March 22 from 11:15 am to 1:15pm.  Dining service begins at 11:15 am, followed by the noon performance.  Luncheon and performance cost is $25.00.   One of the most highly trained soldiers of history was the Roman centurion.  The 1st Century A.D. was part of what is known as the Imperial Period of the Roman Empire.  Join Romulus Theodosius Pius, a Roman centurion loosely based on historical Roman accounts, as he tells about life in the Roman Army.  Hear how a centurion prepared his men for battle and listen to his story of the day he crucified the Son of God on the cross. Battle tactics, training, and the everyday life of a Roman soldier will be addressed. Wiedenkeller serves as a “living historian” where he presents history from a first-person perspective.  Lunch includes simple greens with dressing, slow cooked Roman chicken with tomatoes, peppers, garlic, olive oil, wine and fresh herbs and garlic toast.  Finish the meal with a slice of Roman apple cake for dessert, coffee and tea. Registration is required by Thursday, March 15 through calling 262 354 1375 or email jhalliburton@lho.org.
