TUITION FREE CNA TRAINING CLASS, beginning February 4th!
Are you seeking a meaningful job in healthcare where you will touch lives and make a difference? Shorehaven is sponsoring a CNA Training course at no cost for those selected, to be conducted on our campus. It will prepare you for a position with our 5-star facility, where the residents are our priority and we staff with a low resident: employee ratio! We are seeking primarily NIGHT (10 pm – 6 am) and PM (2 pm – 10 pm) shift staff. (Please complete the online application form for consideration.) Our Health and Rehabilitation Center provides care for both rehab and long-term residents in household settings; this includes help with bathing, toileting, hair grooming, oral hygiene, dressing and assistance with range of motion. CNAs become a part of the Household family. We are offering a sign on bonus of up to $2000 after hire. Various schedules are available. Candidates should have a caring heart, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and should be age 18 or older. Base starting pay rate after successful completion of the CNA class and certification test is $15.00/hr.
Classes are planned for Thursdays and Fridays, 8 am – 1:15 pm, Feb. 4 – 18, Monday – Thursday, 8 am – 1:15 pm Feb. 22 – 25, and Monday – Thursday, 6:30 am – 3:00 pm March 1-4. Those selected for the class must be able to attend all classes.
Do you love to cook? Do you want the satisfaction of providing tasty and nourishing meals for the seniors we serve? Are you tired of working late nights or unstable schedules? Consider a position in either our Assisted Living or Health and Rehabilitation Center kitchens.
These positions are eligible for our full benefit program and are normally scheduled four days/week including every other weekend. Position hours in our Health Center are 6 am – 2:30 pm and 12-7 pm, depending upon which meal you will be focusing on that day. Position hours in our Assisted Living are 6:30 am – 2 pm and 12 – 7 pm.
Cooks are responsible for setting up their work station, preparing ingredients and preparing meals using standard recipes in an efficient manner while maintaining high standards of quality food production.
Cooks participate in our menu conferences and may assist in coordinating cooking activities.
The ideal candidate will have experience cooking in a similar setting but we are willing to train if you bring a passion for cooking! Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
Wages are dependent upon experience.
Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Our nursing staff play a key role on our team to serve the residents and ensure their good health. You will work closely with other nursing professionals to assure continuity of care from shift to shift, report changes of resident conditions, administer medications and treatments and help guide the direct care staff. Our household setting creates a feeling of family, and you will become a part of that family.
Our current openings include part-time positions on Days (6 am – 2:15 pm), either 2 or 3 shifts/week, or every other weekend, and full or part-time (every other weekend) on Night (10 pm – 6:15 am) shift.

Part-time, 4-8pm, 2-4 shifts/week. Work in the beautiful lakeside restaurant of our independent living apartments. Take orders, set and clear tables, serve food, assist with dishes. Experience not required. Minimum age 16.
Resident Associate- part-time weekends
We are seeking caring individuals to assist on either Day or Night shift weekends in our Assisted Living.
You will assist residents as needed, potentially with dressing, bathing, medications, etc. We will provide training for medication administration. Related experience is preferred, but if you have a caring heart and a passion for caring for seniors, we’d like to hear from you. Minimum age for this position is 18.
NOC shift position hours are 10:30 pm – 6:30 am every other weekend, Day shift position hours are 6:30am – 2:30pm, an every other OR EVERY weekend schedule is available. (Additional hours to help cover for vacation, etc. may be available.)
Minimum starting pay is $13.50, more with experience, for every other weekend.
EVERY WEEKEND starting pay is $17/hr., negotiable with experience.
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
We are seeking compassionate caregivers to provide Resident Centered Care. Work in a 5-Star facility where the resident to caregiver ratios are low. You will work in a household setting with either rehab or long-term care residents. Benefit eligible positions available on Night or PM shift (4-5 shifts per week); part-time positions also available. All positions include every other weekend.
Up to $2,000 sign-on bonus for Nights; up to $1000 for PM shift and $500 for Day shift!*
As a Care Companion you will provide personal care and assistance for residents of our CBRFs. Assist in the care of a household of up to 13 memory care or frail elderly residents. (Staffing includes 2 caregivers for day and pm shifts.)
- Provide personal care to residents.
- Take and record resident’s weight, blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration.
- Provide for the safety of the resident as instructed according to Shorehaven Policies and State regulations.
- Report to Nurse in charge any changes in residents as to their skin conditions, injuries, appetite, emotional needs, etc.
CBRF certification and experience a plus but we will provide training/certification.
Must be at least age 18.
Full-time or Part-time positions are available on the Night Shift, 10:00pm – 6:00am.
Part-time positions are available on the PM Shift, 2:00pm – 10:00pm.
All positions include every other weekend.
Up to $1000 Sign-on bonus for Night Shift. $600 Sign-on bonus for PM shift. Positions must be at least 30 hour a pay period (2 weeks) to qualify.*
Certified Medication Technician
Provide personal care for residents and administer medications including eye, ear, nose drops and dose-metered inhalers as instructed, keeping nurse informed of any side effects, medication refusals and PRN requests, etc. Day or PM shift available with flexible hours; shifts may be 4, 8 or 12 hours long. Must have CNA and Medication Technician certifications. Sign-on bonuses up to $1000 are currently being offered
Homemaker / Household Attendant
This part-time position assists in a household of up to 15 residents and works closely with our CNAs. Primary duties include light cooking, serving meals and cleaning, with the opportunity to interact with residents. Part-time positions are available on day shift (7:00 am – 3:00 pm) or PM shift (4:00 pm – 8:00 pm) 1-2 shifts per week. Positions include every other weekend. Minimum age 16. Prior experience with seniors a plus.
Home Care Assistant
Part-time positions available 8:00 am – 1:00 pm Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 pm – 11:30 pm includes every other weekend and part-time with flexible scheduling. Will provide in-home services which may include housekeeping, meal prep, transportation, med reminders, or assistance with dressing and/or grooming. Must be 21 with a valid driver’s license, good driving record and reliable vehicle. Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs., and assist with transfers of adult clients. Related experience, especially with seniors, a plus. Customer service orientation essential!
