TUITION FREE CNA TRAINING CLASS
Are you seeking a meaningful job where you will touch lives and make a difference? Are you looking to make a career change? Shorehaven is sponsoring a CNA Training course at no cost for those selected, taught by WCTC instructors, to be conducted on our campus. It will prepare you for a position with our 5-star facility, where the residents are our priority and we staff with a low resident: employee ratio! Positions are primarily available on 2nd shift. Our Health and Rehabilitation Center provides care for both rehab and long-term residents in household settings; this includes help with bathing, toileting, hair grooming, oral hygiene, dressing and assistance with range of motion. CNAs become a part of the Household family. We offer an outstanding benefit program and a special, educational bonus of up to $1200 after hire. The base starting pay rate after successful completion of the CNA class and certification test is $14.30/hr.
CNA Trainee Classes will be held Monday, Wednesday and Friday 4-9 pm beginning April 15th. Last class date is May 29. (No class on April 17 or May 25.) Candidates selected must be available for all classes.
Cook – Excellent opportunity for an experienced cook or someone who loves cooking to work in our modern kitchen serving our Health and Rehabilitation Center. Cooks are responsible for the timely and efficient preparation of meals while maintaining high standards of quality food production and portion control using standard recipes. Cooks participate in our menu conferences and may assist in coordinating cooking activities. Large volume cooking experience is highly desirable, but we will train. Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds. Shifts will vary between 6:00am – 2:30 pm and 9:30am – 6 pm. Four shifts / week including every other weekend. This position is eligible for our full benefit program!
Receptionist, Part-time – This position is scheduled every other weekend, 4-8 pm, Saturday and Sunday, at our main Health and Rehabilitation Center reception desk, and participates in the Holiday rotation. A pleasant demeanor and some computer experience required. Greet visitors, answer the phone and perform general office tasks.
Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse (RN/LPN) – Part-time including benefit eligible positions (4 shifts/week) available on all shifts. Positions include every other weekend. May work with rehab or long-term care residents. If you are a team builder with a passion for making a positive difference in the lives of the seniors we serve we hope to hear from you.
Certified Medication Technician – Provide personal care for residents and administer medications including eye, ear, nose drops and dose-metered inhalers as instructed, keeping nurse informed of any side effects, medication refusals and PRN requests, etc. Day or PM shift available with flexible hours; shifts may be 4, 8 or 12 hours long. Must have CNA and Medication Technician certifications. Sign-on bonuses up to $1000 are currently being offered
Care Companion – Provide personal care and assistance for residents of our Memory Care CBRF, including recording vital signs, reporting changes in condition to the nurse, and providing for the safety of residents. You would work in a household of up to 13 residents with excellent resident to caregiver ratios. CBRF experience and/or certification is desirable but we will provide training/certification. Minimum age required is 18. Part-time positions available on AM or PM shifts. Occasional status positions also available.

Cook – This position is available in the kitchen of our Assisted Living community and is eligible for our full benefit program. Shorehaven offers a continuum of care to seniors and is known as the Specialist in Serving Seniors. Shifts may vary between 6:30 – 2:00 pm and 12 – 7 pm. Four shifts/ week including every other weekend. The ideal candidate will have experience cooking in a similar setting but we are willing to train if you bring a passion for cooking!
Dining Attendant – Part-time, 4-8 pm, 2-3 shifts/week. Work in the beautiful lakeside restaurant of our independent living apartments. Take orders, set and clear tables, serve food, assist with dishes. Experience not required. Minimum age 16.
Homemaker / Household Attendant – This part-time position assists in a household of up to 15 residents and works closely with our CNAs. Primary duties include light cooking, serving meals and cleaning, with the opportunity to interact with residents. Part-time positions are available on day shift (7:00 am-3:00 pm 1-2 shifts per week) or PMs, 4:00pm – 8:00pm, 4 shifts per week). Positions include every other weekend. Minimum age 16. Prior experience with seniors a plus.
Home Care Assistant – Part-time positions available 8am-1pm Saturday and Sunday, 6pm-11:30pm includes every other weekend and part-time with flexible scheduling. Will provide in-home services which may include housekeeping, meal prep, transportation, med reminders, or assistance with dressing and/or grooming. Must be 21 with a valid driver’s license, good driving record and reliable vehicle. Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs., and assist with transfers of adult clients. Related experience, especially with seniors, a plus.
Related experience a plus but formal experience not required. Customer service orientation essential!
